Beer battered fish tacos

These crispy beer battered Baja style fish tacos are crunchy, delicious and quite easy to make.

Ingredients
  

Beer battered fish

  • 500 g cod fillets cut into pieces
  • 100 g flour
  • 70 g cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 200 ml light beer

Tacos

  • 8 tortillas
  • shredded green cabbage
  • 1 avocado sliced

Chipotle sauce

  • 4 tbsp greek yogurt
  • 4 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp chipotle paste
  • Juice of 1/2 lime

Instructions
 

  • Cut the fish into pieces and coat in a thin coat of flour so the batter sticks better
  • In a bowl mix the batter
  • Heat some vegetable oil to140°C
  • Take each piece of fish, dredge in batter, then place in the hot oil
  • Fry for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, while turning from side to side
  • Place each piece of fried fish on a plate with kitchen towels to get rid of the excess oil
  • Meanwhile, prepare your sauce by mixing all the ingredients in a bowl
  • Prepare the other toppings and heat the tortillas
    You can heat them straight on the gas range stove, or in a pan, and even in the oven
  • Assemble your tacos and enjoy!
